Medtronic and JDRF to work together to develop artificial beta-cell system from Continuous Glucose Monitoring technology

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), together with Helmsley Charitable Trust (HCT), have announced a collaboration with Medtronic, Inc. (NYSE:MDT). The JDRF-HCT Sensor Initiative aims to develop a new generation of artificial beta-cell systems, building on existing continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology to achieve even greater precision and reliability. The goal of the collaboration is to accelerate development of Medtronic’s new sensor system. JDRF
